For more than a year, the Newspaper Enterprise Association syndicated a Dark Shadows strip illustrated by Ken Bald. As was the case with all other Dark Shadows spin-offs (the feature films, the Gold Key comics, the novels, etc.) the comic strip took place in its own continuity.
Comic art is usually created in stages, first with rough pencils, inks and lettering, with occasional corrections scattered throughout the production (it's not unusual to find rough patches of correction fluid on original comic art.) Above, Bald's unretouched artwork gives you an idea of how difficult it is to create seemingly simple line art.
