I've been kicking around the idea of a Grayson Hall Blog-a-thon for a few months now, but was a little unsure if anyone else would be interested in participating. Grayson Hall is one of the unsung heroes of Dark Shadows, and one of the reasons the show found such firm footing after the introduction of Barnabas Collins. It's hard to imagine Dark Shadows without Hall, and it's likely the show would have evolved into something very different without her constant presence on the set.
But, did anyone else share this opinion? I sent out a few queries to other writers and, much to my delight, every one of them agreed to participate. The Grayson Hall Blog-a-thon is set for Friday, June 22, and the following writers and websites will be participating:
Author Matt Hall, son of Grayson and Sam Hall
Frank Jay Gruber (The Weary Professor blog)
The Drawing Room, the only podcast devoted entirely to Dark Shadows
Plucky Chicken, the "the hopelessly unhip blogger and bikini model" and Dark Shadows fan
Patrick McCray, of The Collins Foundation

And, of course, The Collinsport Historical Society (but you probably figured that out.)
If you're reading this and would like to participate, send me an e-mail at collinsporthistory @ gmail.com and I'll add you to the list.
Love her a lot! This is exciting!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character after Barnabus
ReplyDeleteI loved her character and how she played it because her role would normally have gone to a man: A Doctor! How cool that must have been to play!
